Boys Noize Announce North American Tour Dates

Today, BOYS NOIZE, German-Iraqi GRAMMY winner Alex Ridha, announces the North American leg of his +/- (POLARITY) TOUR 2022. Beginning in San Francisco on June 10, the tour passes through Vancouver, Los Angeles, Toronto, New York, Denver and Philadelphia, and ends in Chicago. Ahead of the tour, new music will be revealed, starting with a remix by Bosnian-German DJ SOLOMUN in the not-too-distant future.

The collective volume and diversity of BOYS NOIZE has made it in high demand by artists looking for its proprietary sonic techniques and peerless production. Berlin’s world-renowned underground culture acts as a beacon for international stars who are ready to plumb the margins of innovation and the unusual, and it’s BOYS NOIZE’s studio where their new inspirations are transmuted into a even fresher music thanks to his expertise.

Over the years, working relationships have blossomed and production credits have multiplied, including with such luminaries as LADY GAGA, FRANK OCEAN, A$AP ROCKY, BON IVER, MARK RONSON and FRANCIS & THE LIGHTS. And as an unparalleled remixer, BOYS NOIZE has been enlisted by DEPECHE MODE, RAMMSTEIN, DAFT PUNK and DAVID LYNCH, adding his signature work to artistic royalty.

Even as he personally takes on an underdog role, BOYS NOIZE finds his influence penetrating to the center: 2020 was marked by a GRAMMY nomination for his collaboration with SKRILLEX and TY DOLLA $IGN “Midnight Hour” – an unlikely mix of R&B late-night music, oldskool rave and hard house – while 2021 brought a GRAMMY win for LADY GAGA’s “Rain on Me”, feat. ARIANA GRANDE.

BOYS NOIZE’s +/- encapsulates a distillation of his career to date in waveform form, where valleys of underground techno, industrial and jacking house morph into peaks of artist-led collaborations. stars. Underpinned by the violent beats of the club addict and blanketed in deep, immersive textures, the songs, while rich, possess a biting middle ground, even the most melodic moments of +/- bare the sharp teeth of synthesis and modular treatment of BOYS NOIZE; a new breakthrough for the gear enthusiast.

Visual artist Eric Timothy Carlson, designer of BON IVER’s acclaimed 22 a Million, joined Alex in developing extensive artwork and iconography for the album and all of his individual works. The work offers an esoteric key of glyphs and symbols, mapping the contradictory influences and emotions that served as elements for a sonic alchemy.

Through image and sound, +/- surveys the all-is-possible production of a distinguished techno producer freed from all constraints, and the album is as much an evolution for the genre as for BOYS NOIZE itself. .
