Seal is known for his deep, soulful voice, which has earned him countless accolades over the decades. He has won three BRIT awards, including Best British Male in 1992. He has also won four Grammy Awards and an MTV Music Award. He received two Ivor Novello Awards for Best Song Musically and Lyrically from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors for two of his greatest hits: “Killer” in 1990 and “Crazy” in 1991.

And, as you’re probably wondering, the scars on Seal’s face are the result of a form of lupus called discoid lupus erythematosus, which leaves large scars on the skin. He also has a brother named Jeymes Samuel. He is also an accomplished singer-songwriter who performs under the name “The Bullitts”.

But today we focus on Seal and his best hits! Listen to some of his most famous songs below!

‘Kiss of a Rose’

Also known as the song from the “Batman Forever” soundtrack, this song has become a karaoke staple!

“Not usually the type of music I listen to too, but something about this song is enchanting,” one fan wrote. “Every time I listen to it, I just feel happy inside. I really can’t explain it.

“This song actually slaps the face,” shared another. “A medieval minstrel tune mixed with hyper-metaphorical language is not a common find.”

“One of the best pieces of pop music ever written,” another commented. “It’s lyrically and musically fascinating.”

“This song never gets old!! It’s one of the few nostalgic songs I will NEVER get tired of! another shared. “Thank you Seal, it’s beautiful!!”

“This song will never get old, it will always be fresh and fit forever,” wrote another. “There won’t be another singer in the future to sing as handsome as Seal.”

‘Mad’

There was a time when you couldn’t turn on the radio without listening to “Crazy.” Although it looks like it was released yesterday, the song was actually released in 1991!

“Hard to believe this was posted in 1990,” wrote one fan. “It seems so ahead of its time.”

“30 years later, I feel pretty comfortable saying that in my opinion this is probably the best piece of pop music ever made,” another fan commented. “This song will never get old on me. Sheer perfection.”

“Definitely in my top 10 favorite songs of all time,” another shared. “I could listen to Seal’s voice all day.”

“The style, the message, the story, the talent,” another commented. “This song has it all.”

“Brilliant song,” wrote another. “It still sounds as fresh today as it did the day it came out.”

Another shared, “Seal’s music isn’t dated, it just gets better with age.”

‘Fly like an eagle’

You probably forgot this 1996 hit from the “Space Jam” album. Luckily we didn’t! The original version of the song recorded by the Steve Miller Band in 1976 is also worth a look!

“This song is magic,” wrote one fan. “It really takes me back – I remember when I was a kid and my grandfather used to take me to the movies to watch Space Jam. And every time I listen to this song, I come back to that moment. The magic !”

“Not only is this song from my childhood, but looking back it’s an amazing cover that retains a lot of the elements that made the original so cool,” wrote another.

“Love this Seal build! Always makes me want to run, make art…send some light,” wrote another.

“Sounds good to me,” wrote another. “The song was already great but Seal’s voice makes it even sweeter. The song gives you good vibes and inspiration.
