Former Backstreet Boy / O-Town Guitarist / Producer Launches EDM Project
FLORIDA, USA, September 7, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – Former Backstreet Boy and O-Town guitarist, producer / songwriter Billy Chapin dives into the world of EDM / Dance… again with the Honduran DJ / producer, Edwin and the release of Edwin’s debut single “Day and Night”. The single was released on August 27 via ECTone Records / AWAL in all digital music stores around the world, including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.
Chapin had success in 1999 with 2 hit dance singles, “Over and Over” and “Is This for Real” with Canadian artist Emjay. “Over and Over” was nominated in 2000 for a Juno Award for Best Dance Recording.
Chapin was asked to develop and manage Edwin’s project. It brought in EDM innovator, songwriter, producer, John Debo. Born in New York and raised in Boston, Debo is undoubtedly a pioneer of underground dance music culture. His club nights at Venus De Milo, Axis & Avalon in Boston have legendary status, having laid a solid foundation for the now thriving electronic music scene in the United States. “We are very excited to be working with this talented young artist and plan to release several singles over the next year,” Chapin said.
The Grammy-nominated musician, Juno and Dove, former label owner at Dreamworks and songwriter for Warner Chappell, has a diverse musical history. “I don’t limit myself to one genre, it’s just music,” says the veteran producer / songwriter who, along with Backstreet and O-Town, has worked with artists such as Don Henley, Sister Hazel, Edwin McCain , Jordan Knight and Jim Sonefeld. Chapin recently finished producing and mixing a project for LA punk label PoshBoy. Chapin has a number of musical projects in the works and is currently writing a book about his journey into the world of the Boyband.
