IAN SWEET shares “f * ckthat” and announces 2022 tour dates

IAN SWEET shared an indie indie pop single called “f * ckthat”, along with a self-directed music video. Check out the upcoming clip, followed by the artist’s recently announced tour dates from Los Angeles in 2022.

Produced by the Canadian duo deadmen, “f * ckthat” is a sparkling four-way bop that finds IAN SWEET’s Jilian Medford singing in a muffled, squeaky coo. “You will have a busy tone / No, this is not a joke / I am not playing nicely,” she sings. “You call me once, call me twice / But the third time / I’ll change my number, change my life.”

“My phone is causing me a lot of anxiety! I really only like using it for taking videos and photos of my dog, ”Medford explained in a press release. “This song is about not wanting to answer calls anymore and wishing you could just throw it out the window and disassociate yourself from its harm / stress inducing technology.”

“f * ckthat” comes about six months after IAN SWEET released his latest album, March’s Show me how you disappear. Next spring, she will hit the road to accompany the LP on a North American tour. The trek takes place throughout the month of February, with stops in Phoenix, Denver, Nashville, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Toronto, Chicago, and Seattle. It all ends on March 2 at the Echo in Los Angeles, with Bnny providing support along the way.

Check out the full itinerary below and purchase tickets via Ticketmaster when they go on sale this Friday, October 1 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
