“It’s been a week since we announced that we had to file the collapse show at the Gramercy Theater due to an emergency. Although not very detailed, we had an intense and honestly terrifying experience with one of our members. We were hoping that by then everything would be back to “normal” and Nick Lee would be able to address the situation and explain everything to you on their own. Unfortunately, that’s not the reality right now. It’s not easy to write this, and there’s no way to sugarcoat the situation, so we’re just going with honesty.
“Thursday afternoon (July 21), we met to rehearse and prepare for the next day’s show. pseudo looked like himself, but mentioned how exhausted he was and how a little foggy and confused he had been for the past 24 hours. We agreed to rotate the set but finish early so he could rest and sleep. As we were setting up our gear, we were going in and out of rooms in the studio and at some point, pseudo had fallen and hit his head. Looking through security camera footage after the fact, we learned that pseudo had a seizure and fell hitting his head on a bass drum. We found him moments after it happened and immediately called an ambulance to rush him to the nearest hospital. By the time paramedics arrived, he had suffered a second seizure.
“Here we are a week later, and unfortunately things have gotten worse. He suffered from seizures every night, to the point where he had to be intubated and basically put into a medically induced coma to give his body a chance. doctors continue to take many tests to correctly diagnose pseudo while keeping it as stable as possible in order to heal. The cause of all this still remains unclear and a very confusing situation as it came out of nowhere. pseudo has absolutely no history of any medical issues like these. Aside from the grind of life on tour, pseudo lives as healthy a lifestyle as anyone. We’ve all seen him run, climb, and jump on stages all over the country, occasionally do yoga, hike, and more.
“pseudois the groom, Lianna, and his family have been by his side all week. Provide as much love and comfort as humanly possible. Keep us posted as we all continue to navigate this whole ordeal.
“If you had the opportunity to know pseudo, you know he was always loving, compassionate and would do anything he could to take care of his friends and family. Whatever the situation, he would always be there to talk and lean on to offer whatever support and comfort he could. We can’t put into words how much pseudo did for the three of us, how he continued to inspire and push us to our greatest potential. pseudo lives and breathes for what we do, and has impacted the lives of many with his love and art.
“Now is the time to help our brother. As doctors and hospitals continue to try to determine the causes of his symptoms and return him to normal health, the medical bills are piling up more and more. It may take some time to recover from as we get even more details. We wanted to start this campaign to get a head start on the matter, so he can focus on his health and get back to normal without the stress and the burden of a huge debt accumulated against him.
“We know it’s hard to digest, but we’ll all get through this together. moon tooth is a family, and we will do whatever it takes to take care of each other. We love you, we’re here for you and, as always, we greatly appreciate your support.”
