The Pixies Return With ‘Human Crime’ Video, Announce 2022 Tour Dates

Although Pixies called off their 2021 tour due to COVID, the band are gearing up for their live comeback later this month, and when they take the stage there will be at least one new song to share. That’s because the band just released their new video for “Human Crime,” which was released as an exclusive digital single.

The band recorded the new song last fall in Los Angeles, and band bassist Paz Lenchantin recently made the video for the track in the Los Angeles area near the San Pedro bunkers and Santa Monica’s Gold Diggers Bar. The music video follows the song’s narrative somewhat, centering on a fairy who has been kicked out of her world and left to navigate another dimension.

“The script is loosely based on an ‘inner joke’ between Charles and I about a tour. How we go through a doorway from our state of reality to the altered state of becoming and being a pixie,” explains Lenchantin on the music video muse Check out the lyrics and video below and if you like what you hear, the song is available via multiple platforms here.

Pixies, “Human Crime” lyrics

I’m sorry I missed you
I had already left
No goodbye kiss
Nobody fought me to leave the house

In the blue sky
take me away

Do not be evil
It’s a human crime
Don’t be so blind
it will come back to you one day

I went to your house
there was no one there
At the cocktail bar
someone else was in your chair

Not even the sun looks like misery
Even the blue sky falls on me

Do not be evil
It’s a human crime
Don’t be so blind
it will come back to you one day

Do not be evil
It’s a human crime
Don’t be so blind
it will come back to you one day
