Music producer John Udomboso aka Young Jonn says there is a guaranteed formula for creating a hit song. Some of the songs produced by the beatmaker include Olamide’s Story for the Gods, Kizz Daniels’ Mama, Flavor’s Lose Guard and Davido’s Biggest Backside.

In an interview with Sunday spoon, he said, “There is no particular formula for making a hit song. Just let it flow. You have to understand the working conditions that suit him and let them flow. No pressure.”

Young John also maintained that the days of good music are not over. He said, “I don’t think the days of good music are over. In fact, I think we have better songs now, and they are slowly evolving to become much better. The African music scene continues to grow and improve.

The beat maker also said he was able to stay relevant because he is never satisfied. He said: “I believe what kept me relevant was never being satisfied. I always want to do more. More importantly, God has been good to me, because it’s not just the effort that counts. I feel blessed.”

The producer also noted that he is currently working on a new corpus titled Love is Not Enough Vol 1.
