UK reintroduces masks and vaccines required for concert halls

As UK is hammered again by COVID and the Omicron variant continues to pose a threat, the Prime Minister Boris Johnson (who is not having a good week) reintroduced face mask requirements for just about any indoor activity. Johnson dubbed Option Plan B, which also requires spectators to prove their immunization status when attending nightclubs, larger venues and indoor venues with more than 500 people.
UK live music company LIVE not very happy with Plan B, CEO says Greg Parmley.
“The introduction of Plan B results in an unfair double standard that allows people to tour pubs all day in crowded bars without having to prove their COVID-19 status, while concert halls are certified,” said Parmley said.
âAfter such a prolonged shutdown throughout the pandemic, it is important that the industry can remain open and that the government has listened to the industry and included the use of lateral flow testing in COVID certification. “
UK is on average over 47,000 cases per day at the moment, although deaths are down about 12%.
