Zac Brown has COVID-19, group suspends tour dates

The Comeback Tour kicked off on August 5th in Holmdel, NJ. When the group announced the tour in May, they revealed that several artists will be joining them for several shows on the tour, including Teddy Swims, Ashland Craft, Gabby Barrett, Adam Doleac and Devin Dawson.
A representative of the group confirms to Billboard that the tour’s closing show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, scheduled for October 17, is still expected to go ahead as scheduled.
The tour takes its name from Zac Brown Band’s upcoming album, The return, is slated for release Oct. 15 via Warner Music Nashville / Home Grown Music. In addition to the band’s current radio single “Same Boat”, they released tracks from the project, including “Fun having fun”.
â’Fun having fun’ is all about the silly things you do as a kid,â Brown said of the trail via a statement. âOne of my co-writers on the track is actually my buddy Kurt (Thomas), who I went to high school with in Dahlonega. He and I did a demo when we were kids called KZ, for Kurt & Zac , and he was the first guy I ever sat down with and thought, âWe’re gonna be grown up.â It was fun going back to that time in my life and remembering some of the things that we did together, especially in the perspective of being a parent now. We really wanted to include a bluegrass type song on this album, and ‘Fun having fun’ was definitely the right one.
